I received this thermometer from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I have a 3-year-old and an 8-month-old. Both of them had just gotten over the flu whenever I got this in the mail - it's too bad I didn't have it sooner because I love this thing! I connected the thermometer to the app on my phone, which was really easy and quick. I love that I can have multiple family members listed so I can keep each person's temperatures separate. I was getting familiarized with the app and discovered I can log symptoms, diagnosis, medications, set reminders, and write my own notes. This is going to make my life so much easier when both kids are sick - now I don't have to keep track of everything on the notes app of my phone! I took both kids temperatures, and they were both accurate (not sick right now). The non-contact feature makes it especially easy to take my kids' temperatures because they don't sit still for very long, and it's not traumatic for them. I'm not excited for the next sickness to come around, but I AM excited that I have this thermometer and app now.0 users found this review helpful.

Love that this thermometer is so quick and accurate! Trying to take a living toddlers temp is an exercise in futility. This made it super easy and seems accurate. Love that it comes with an app so you can track the temps for the whole family. Great Idea, Needs a Few Improvements
Overall, I think this could be a fabulous thermometer with a few tweaks and better reliability. I read the instructions multiple times and still did not get consistent readings for my kids. It was all within one degree different each time. At this point my children haven't had a fever while I have had the thermometer so I am unsure how accurate it would be for exact fever readings. The thermometer itself feels lightweight and somewhat cheap. However, I do like that there aren't a lot of different buttons to deal with and figure out. It is easy to use on myself and my children. Now on to my favorite part, the app. The app is amazing and extremely user friendly. It allows you to add different family members and keep track of their temperature, set reminders, and keep track of when you give medication. As parents I feel like is extremely helpful instead of trying to keep up with it written down on paper and it's super easy to keep on your phone. The downside of the app for me is that it mainly shares COVID information while I would prefer it would share information about other viruses especially those that kids are most prone to (for example, we have had RSV already this year). I also wish there was a snooze option for when your two year old takes the thermometer and presses the button 20 times in a minute so I don't have to go back in and clear out the readings. Great thermometer
Great thermometer! It was super easy to set up and get to using! I was able to try this item thanks to the Stellar panel and I love that it is contactless and fast! The temperature was always accurate if checked a couple times. Using this with the app was also pretty easy too! Best thermometer ever
I tested this thermometer several times and it has been 100% accurate each time. It's quick and can read a temp in SECONDS. Perfect for when you have squirmy toddlers who just wanna get back to playing. I absolutely love that it hooks up to an app where I can make a profile for each person in the house and keep up with their temps and their medicine. It has given this mama a sense of calm throughout sickness. The app lets you know if it's a normal temp or dangerously high or low temp. I LOVE this thermometer!
I was given this thermometer to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. My first thought was, "Thank goodness it has an app!" I am always trying to scribble down my son's temperatures when he is sick, now I don't have to because the thermometer does it for me! I initially ran a few tests to make sure it was accurate. I tested it along side two other thermometers, one is also a no touch forehead thermometer and one was a mouth thermometer. The accuracy was on par which is great when a tenth of a degree makes a difference. The non touch feature of the thermometer is great when you have a 13 month old who is always trying to grab anything nearby. I can quickly take them temperature without him noticing. Then the temperature immediately saves in the app so I can track and monitor his symptoms. We tried this after a few immunizations to make sure he didn't have a reaction. I can enter in his symptoms and get tips on how to treat my son! On top of all that, the app allows you to track your entire family. I added myself and my husband and tracked our temperatures when we realized we weren't feeling great. The greatest feature of the app is allowing more than one profile! My husband has reached for this thermometer to use on himself more than once. He has been thrilled by the ease. So fast
This thermometer is fantastic. It is by far the fastest thermometer I have tried, which is clutch when trying to get a temperature on a squirmy sick 2 year old. I love that it keeps a log of temps for multiple family members so that I don't have to do that manually. And I love that the app can give instant advice since it can take hours to get through to my pediatrician on the phone. Seems to work as intended
Flu season has started and we have had several opportunities to use the Kinsa QuickScan Thermometer over the last couple weeks. The app seems to work fine and was easy to access and set up although I'm not sure there are a lot of benefits to it other than tracking changes in temperature. I do like the local illness feature of the app. It let us know what illnesses are high in our area. For our area it has been the flu. The thermometer itself was easy to use. One button to turn it on. A quick click of the button near my child's forehead gave us a temperature reading. As far as accuracy, it seemed like it was accurate within 3 or 4 tenths of a degree. I compared the readings of the Kinsa with those taken on another forehead non-contact thermometer and a digital oral thermometer. The oral thermometer seemed give the most consistent readings, however, the Kinsa thermometer was always within a couple tenths. Given the ease of use compared to an oral thermometer, I think the Kinsa would be my preference for a quick reading on a sick child. I think to ensure an accurate reading, you really need to ensure you are holding it just under an inch from the forehead. Overall, I'd recommend the Kinsa QuickScan Non-Contact Thermometer for quick readings, especially in the middle of the night. I would probably keep a digital oral thermometer on hand though if a more precise reading is needed. This seems to get the job done though.
