I bought this product today. MOM works great. BUT: The label says to store at room temperature but doesn't say anything about after opening. I just read online that milk of magnesia must be refrigerated after opening to preserve freshness. It also says that it will help pass a bowel movement within 30 minutes to 6 hours. Yet it recommends taking it at bedtime so you can poop in bed. These guidelines are crazy. So should it be refrigerated or not? I think better yes than be sorry later. Should I chance pooping in bed? I don't think so. Relief at last - yay!
I was seriously constipated after taking a heavy-duty antibiotic. I called my insurance company's advice nurse, the urgent care people, and my doctor suggested. I bought Milk of Magnesia after I saw it mentioned in the Mayo Clinic book on Digestive Care. It helped me in 30 mins
I know some may not want to admit that they need this product but after having throat surgery I was given a narcotic to help with pain down side it constipates you so i couldn’t strain because it would damage the surtures I had in my neck so in comes Mik of a miracle is what i call it. helped me within 30 mins of taking. must drink water after though.1 users found this review helpful. - DaviousReviewed 10 months ago

Made me suicidal
On the advice of my doctor I took this for my constipation issies The two months I was on it o was depressed. , I cried every day. No idea why. The day I was suicidal o knew something was wrong and stopped it. All the depression lifted. A month later I tried it for 2 days. Cried all morning.
