I bought bc i was looking for a cleansing balm to remove my makeup bc i felt like makeup wipes were really rough on my skin. I didnt know what to expect but i tried it out in the shower and immediately didnt like the super sleek residue it left on my skin. Even in the shower it wouldnt come off easy. But i decided to try with makeup to see if it was worth the icky feeling of the residue. I just tried it and it was sooo messy. I will say it was effective at removing all my makeup and was okay on the eyes no burning or clouding. I HATED taking it off. It was such a pain omg i couldn't get the residue to melt off. I had to go in with my tatcha cleanser to remove the feeling after about five minutes of tryna wash it off. Ugh! I really wanted to like it but that residue is not it. Also bc of the residue, whatever makeup does come off gets stuck to the sink and creates a ring of gunk. Its more work than it's worth. Will def be returning.Hace 11 mesesHi there. I used this and loved it at first, although I think it went rancid? The smell when I opened my jar tonight was awful and it burned horribly, especially my eyes. My eyelids are red and puffy and the burn hasn't gone away. It's been approximately at hour. I did wash it off with a clean, wet washcloth and warm water. Basic and efficient

Love it!
As with all CeraVe products, this is Tops. I love it! It does what it says and has great ingredients for your skin. I use the double-cleanse method on my whole face at night when I use makeup. Lasts a long time

I was expecting more
Just ok… I would prefer it melted my make-up more and not feel like I was applying petroleum jelly to my face. Missed the mark SAVE YOUR $$
The product did not remove makeup on skin as expected. Eye makeup and lip makeup remained and I had to follow up with a separate face wash to remove residual makeup.
