We saw a provider who diagnosed my daughter with a fungal ear infection. It was Memorial Day so we had to wait for the pharmacy to open late. This delayed her starting ear drops for several horus. When it opened, I picked up the prescription. The tech's name was Providerney at the location on Dynamite Rd and Tatum Blvd. She was super unpleasant and said "sign in to the kiosk and we'll get your prescription". I did as she instructed. I also signed a box on the screen that was so large I could not read the text about the sign box. Apparently I had just signed to skip a consultation for a medication I had never used before and it was for my child. I had (wrongly) assumed I had signed indicating I was picking up a prescription for someone else. Providerney, in her quest to be very unhelpful, did not indicate at all what I was signing. She shoved my stuff in a bag and sent me on my way. No explanation, no ask about a consultation. I realized immediately I had just paid $18 through my insurance for a medication that is availabile OTC. Not only had I overpaid, I had waited literal hours from her appointment time to the time the pharmacy opened to be able to pick it up. I was annoyed but glad it was over. I got home and went to adminsiter the ear drops. The package was straight off the shelf with a prescription label stuck to it. They did not bother to include a dropper for me to be able to use the medication in my daughter's ears. Instead they just assumed that I would want to do that with a small brush apparently that comes in the package. So that was really cool. Now i have a kid who is understandably miserable, has waited hours for a medication I could've bought on my way out of the store after the appointment, that I OVERPAID for, and that I cannot actually use because you can't drop something into someone's ears with a brush. All of this is going so well as you can clearly see. I called the pharmacy and had the pleasure of leaving a voicemail. I got a call back from the pharmacist, The Provider? The Provider? I don't know. He was like "where are you using this medication?" which is terrifying since he just filled it. I explained it goes INTO HER EARS and he seemed unsure that was normal. I believed him since 1) I am not a provider and 2) it clearly comes with a brush for applying to the skin. Taylor/Travis was unsure why I had gotten it from the pharmacy and did apologize that they ran it through my insurance. He said he could give me a dropper. I mean what a kind gesture. But wait, if I wanted it, I'd need to come back (third trip to CVS in one day! How exciting) and they were closing early for the holiday soooo better do it now. As you can guess, I did do that. Because I had already overpaid for a medication that I'd like to be able to use. When I got there, Lainey, in her infinite warmth and welcoming demeanor, didn't even say hi again just "sign in on the tablet and we'll be with you". She radiates a joy I can't even explain. It's somewhere between absolute disdain for people and a comically inapporporiate level of misery in her job. After standing around Taylor/Travis triumphantly handed over droppers and I extracare bucks for $10. The gesture was kind but falls flat considering the absolute nightmare the situation had been from the jump. I'd like to shoutout literally no one for doing a good job at work that day. And I will skip all minute clinics going forward.

It's easy to schedule, so there is never a long wait. My provider for this visit was very knowledgeable and very thorough in giving medical advice. I didn't feel rushed and felt very respected and reassured. I received excellent professional care. I much prefer Minute Clinic to Urgent Care for most needs when my primary care doctor's office is closed.

The NP was more concerned about talking his own cold than listening to me about mine. Not the best interaction I've had at a minute clinic.

The doctor on site did a great job of cleaning the wax out of my ears. I've tried for years to clean out my ears with different remedies to no avail. She helped a great deal. I'm

MinuteClinic billing used the wrong code for my preventative blood test and as a result I was charged a deductible for the visit that should have been no charge since this visit was for the preventative health screening. This is for CVS Health employees to avoid the surcharge for the new benefit enrollment year. This is the first time I was charge for a employee health screening. MinuteClinic said I should contact Aetna, which I did. My Aetna advocate rep said he has seen this issue a lot recently and that MinuteClinic refused to correct the billing code error! He suggested I submit a claim to see it they will fix the error - which I did. I now have to wait 2 to 3 weeks for an answer! This seems unacceptable for a Health care company to refuse to correct an error on their part!
