Went to get PPD test at Amherst Minute Clinic. ..told to come back in 48 hours ( a Sat. to have RN sign off that I didn't have TB reaction). Got there and checked and no RN there...just told the clinic closed. Then told to go to Northampton CVS to get a RN to look at it...no Minute Clinic in Nton...then told West Springfield...again no Minute Clinic. Ended up having to drive to Palmer to get it done. If people are scheduled to come to a particular site, you should have a RN there. Will not refer others to CVS minute clinics because of this.
The NP was fantastic. Listened well and was efficient.
I have a CVS Virtual Care provider. I have been getting vitamin B injections for months now. When I went in to get my next one this week at the same minute clinic I always go to, they were not able to see past visit notes or even the prescription from the virtual care provider. I was able to pull it all up on my phone, but it caused a delay in the visit because there was so much confusion. I wish there were better integration among all provider systems, especially since Virtual Care Providers will often refer to local minute clinic locations for "eyes on" health needs. Everyone should have access to the same system to provide continuity of care.
