My visit to Minute Clinic on Prosperity Ave, VA. - with with The Provider on 4/28/25. I was really sick with a very sore throat, runny nose, chills, ear ache in both ears, nausea and body aches. So, I made an appointment with Minute Clinic, which was a BIG mistake. I was so sick and nauseous that I threw up right outside CVS and as a result got 8 minutes late for my appointment. I sat there with my son outside when a woman came charging out from inside the room where patients are seen. She mispronounced my name, I could hardly speak because I was still nauseous. She looked at me angrily as I faintly responded to her that it was me. She raised her voice and insulted me publicly saying, "you are 10 minutes late. Be thankful I did not cancel your appointment." I kept quiet as I did not expect to be chastised by this woman. We go to a healthcare facility when we are not well. So this woman that CVS has employed does not even have any empathy. Leave alone empathy, she does not even know how to conduct herself professionally as she insulted me publicly. I sat outside in pain while she saw every other patient. She finally came out and said, "so, you are still here?' Ok, I 'll see you then I guess." As soon as my son and I sat down, she looks at both of us and says, I don't know where you are from but here in America, we leave our homes at least 45 minutes before our appointment to make it in time. We in America don't like to be late." Both my son and I kept quiet. This woman first looked at me and then at my son expecting a response, but we stated quiet. She looked at us and said, "I know you cannot talk to me because you don't know how to speak in English. I feel terrible for you guys." At this point, I told her my symptoms and she said, "oh, you speak in English! When did you come to America?" I told her I was an American citizen and again steered her towards my symptoms. She refused to run a COVID test on me on which I requested for, and she declined saying it could not be done in Minute Clinic any longer. So, I told her I was going out to the pharmacy so they could do ot and at that point she said, she was mistaken and she would do it. I asked her for a strep and Flu test and she said, "are you insured?" I told her I had input all that information when I made the appointment. I requested her to check my ears and she stabbed my right ear and did not even apologize. This woman just did not want to treat me and she did not. I asked her if you could do anything for my cough and pain in the throat. I told her I had previously used Lidocaine oral solution for gargling. She made a face and said she ordered it. Then she said she ordered some medication for my cough. I asked her if there were side effects and she said there were. With one capsule, I would sleep for 12 - 14 hours at a stretch. She was NOT even clean and hygienic. Not once did she clean her hands with sanitizer and did not wear gloves. I still cannot fathom that this woman was a health care professional, who was so disrespectful, disparaging and racist. This woman created a very acrimonious, uncomfortable and unsafe environment.

Waited 20 minutes for my appointment. When the tech came out, there was no one in the room that she released. Why the long delay? There were 3 other people waiting when I was there. Tech wasn't very knowledgeable about the vaccines I was getting but she was a bit judgemental about me getting them in the first place. Decided to postpone one of them and she seemed frustrated about having to deal with me.

The Provider was extremely professional, courteous and paid full time and attention to my questions with great explanation, even it was little hectic and other patients were waiting. At no point of time I felt that she was rushing me out. The Provider is a true healthcare professional who helped me with ❤️ heart!
